A South Florida native who spent years running the streets of Dallas, Javier went from chasing 5K beer medals to qualifying for Boston — dropping his marathon time from 3:43 to 2:50 largely self-coached.

Now a Jack Daniels V.O2 Certified coach and admin of the White Rock Running Co-op, he coaches runners virtually from wherever the road takes him.

Javier is married to his wife of over 20 years, Christie, and has two kids with furry legs. Outside of running, he’s a certified scuba diver who loves exploring new trails around the world.
